Apollo 7 Astronaut Walter Cunningham Dead at 90

Another Climate Warrior lost.

Walt was a United States Marine pilot in Korea in addition to being a physicist and astronaut.  That is quite a combination of talents.

He was a strong supporter of climate skepticism and a member of the CO2 Coalition.

Not one of the News reports mentioned Walt’s support of climate scepticism.

From Newsmax -eg:

Walter Cunningham, the last surviving astronaut from the first successful crewed space mission in NASA’s Apollo program, has died. He was 90.

NASA spokesman Bob Jacobs confirmed Cunningham’s death to The Associated Press but did not immediately provide further details. Cunningham’s wife, Dot Cunningham, said in a statement that he died Tuesday but did not say where or provide a cause of death.

Cunningham was one of three astronauts aboard the 1968 Apollo 7 mission, an 11-day spaceflight that beamed live television broadcasts as they orbited Earth, paving the way for the moon landing less than a year later.
